Ra’ee connects adopters with animals in need of a home, and provides a directory of veterinary clinics and pet-supply stores. We respect your privacy — this page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information We Collect
- Account data: your email address when you sign in with Google, Apple, or an email code.
- Profile data: your name and profile photo, if you choose to add them.
- Pet and business listing data: what you enter when adding a pet for adoption or a business — name, description, photos, type, age, health status, and contact details.
- Location: your coordinates when you add a pet or business, or when browsing what's nearby — used to resolve the city/country and rank results by distance.
- Phone number: if you choose to share it, to make WhatsApp contact easier.
- Messages: the content of conversations between adopters and pet owners inside the app.
- Device notification token: your device's FCM token, used to send notifications about nearby pets, listing review status, and new messages.
- Usage data: general app-usage statistics via Google's analytics services.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to operate the adoption service and business directory, show you nearby content, send account-related notifications, review new listings before they go live (including each owner's pledge that a pet is for adoption only, never for sale), and process merchant promotion payments via Stripe.
Sharing Your Data
We never sell your data. We share limited data only in these cases:
- Contact details you choose to share (like a WhatsApp number) are shown to people reaching out about your pet or business.
- Service providers we rely on: Google (Firebase) for notifications and analytics, LocationIQ to resolve city names from coordinates, and Stripe for merchant promotion payments — each processes data under its own privacy policy.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at info@softs.app.
Children's Privacy
Ra’ee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, though no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
